Judge revokes Lohan's probation, issues arrest warrant

Thursday, 05.20.2010, 01:25pm (GMT-4)

Could Lindsay Lohan be heading to jail? Get the latest details as they come out today on "Showbiz Tonight" 5 p.m. ET on HLN.

A Los Angeles judge revoked actress Lindsay Lohan's probation and issued a bench warrant for her arrest after she failed to appear at a hearing Thursday.

Warrant issued for Lohan
A judge ruled that there was "probable cause to believe (Lohan) is in violation of probation" from a 2007 drunk driving conviction.

Lohan lost her passport and was unable to fly back to the United States for the hearing, Lohan attorney Shawn Chapman Holley said.

Holley later said Lohan was issued a temporary passport by the U.S. Embassy in Paris, France, on Thursday and will fly back to the United States as soon as possible.

Judge Marsha Revel ruled there was "probable cause to believe (Lohan) is in violation of probation" from a 2007 drunk driving conviction.

When Lohan is arrested, she would be allowed to post a $100,000 bond until a probation revocation hearing can be held, Revel said.

Lohan cannot drink alcohol until the hearing and she will be fitted with a bracelet to detect if she has been drinking, the judge said.

Random drug testing also will be performed on the actress, because of previous evidence she was under the influence of cocaine, Revel said.

"I warned her before," the judge said. "She knew it was very serious."

From the time he putted a golf ball at the age of 2 on "The Mike Douglas Show," Tiger Woods has been a golden child.

While athletes in different professions dealt with doping scandals and other controversies, Woods continued to do what he did best: dominate the field of professional golf and rake in endorsements.

But it is that squeaky-clean image, and the tightly controlled persona Woods has cultivated over the course of his career, that experts say is fueling speculation and interest in the circumstances surrounding his recent car accident.
